Melanie Popp:
Melanie is a Director in PwC’s Calgary Consulting group with a specialty in energy, utilities, and other asset intensive industries. With over 20 years of oil and gas experience in a variety of different organizations and locations, Melanie brings her operations experience to lead engagements on upskilling, operational excellence, and business process improvement. She helps organizations to realize their strategy through strategy design and development, roll-out of programs and plans, and tracking of success metrics. An energetic communicator, Melanie loves to work with teams to build capabilities through training and coaching. She is specialized in the spotting and analysis of constraints and developing mitigation plans, including digital solutions. Melanie is excited about using generative AI to improve the daily work of everyone from the field operator to the CEO.
Danielle Gifford:
Danielle is currently a Director of AI at PwC, focusing on generative AI applications in enterprise. She has a track record of driving innovation and value creation through technology and strategic investments. Known for building national teams, labs, partnerships, and systems, Danielle’s expertise spans B2B and B2C SaaS, specializing in AI, AR, and cloud. Before joining PwC, she established the Artificial Intelligence Talent and Experimentation Accelerator at AltaML, training over 240 individuals and leading 70 AI use cases. At the Creative Destruction Lab, Danielle managed and led ventures across health, energy, and fintech that led to the creation of over $250M in equity value.
Equipped with an MBA from the University of Calgary and Executive Certificates from MIT, Danielle’s presence at events like Elevate Festival, Collision, and SaaS North highlights her expertise in driving discussions on cutting-edge technologies and fostering innovation. Danielle also serves as an instructor at the University of Calgary where she teaches investor education and applications in generative AI.
